I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with hands-on geothermal power plant investment and operation experience, currently serving as Investment Development Supervisor at Soyak Energy Group. I began my career in the geothermal sector at 3S KALE Energy, where I actively worked on drilling and well testing activities, instrumentation and automation systems, VFD/VSD commissioning, ESP start-ups, switchgear investments, plant commissioning and troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and operational performance monitoring. During this period, I was directly involved both in field execution and in office-based engineering, project documentation, progress control and as-built preparation.  Following my operational background, I transitioned to international geothermal project development within Soyak Energy, focusing on pre-investment and permitting stages. My responsibilities have included preparation of exploration and exploitation tender documentation, well design coordination, EIA processes, monitoring of regulatory frameworks, coordination with consultants and public authorities, and management of grid connection processes with transmission system operators.  Today, I lead cross-border geothermal investment development activities in Central and South-Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on Slovenia and Croatia. I am directly involved in large-scale geothermal power projects covering the full development cycle, including concession and licensing procedures, spatial and land-use planning, environmental approvals, grid connection and market integration, as well as financial and regulatory structuring under EU and national state-aid and support mechanisms. My work regularly requires close coordination with ministries, regulators, transmission system operators, municipalities, and international consultants. I have extensive experience in navigating complex permitting and spatial planning frameworks, including location and construction permits, environmental impact assessments, land acquisition and easement processes, and interaction with national spatial planning instruments. In parallel, I actively work on project bankability and commercial structures, including feed-in premium schemes, competitive tenders, funding-gap methodologies, and compliance with EU state-aid rules. My technical background allows me to bridge engineering, regulatory and commercial aspects of geothermal projects. I combine on-site operational know-how with investment development, regulatory analysis and stakeholder management, enabling a fully integrated approach from subsurface exploration and well development to power plant commissioning and long-term market participation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and have professional proficiency in English and native proficiency in Turkish.
